I’ve loved this typeface since I first saw it on Martha Stewart Living magazine, and then later on Sagmeister’s Things I Have Learned in My Life So Far, but I didn’t know what typeface it was. Now I do—Archer by Hoefler & Frere-Jones. Oh joy. :D

Neville Brody Named as New Head of Communication Art and Design at RCA
After much debate on who the next Head of Department for the Communication Art and Design course at London’s Royal College of Art should be, Neville Brody was finally named yesterday. He shall be assuming the position in January, next year.
While a lot of young designers today know more of David Carson and his grunge experimental typography, particularly in Raygun magazine, it was really Neville Brody who was first known for this kind of aesthetic.

Some of Brody’s works, discovered from the Research Studios website.
Surely, having a design legend such as Neville Brody as a department head at one of the few universities offering postgraduate art/design degrees, makes for an exciting and interesting time for design education today.
